Pawone Simbah is a buffet restaurant that heavily operates within javanese value and tradition. To capture younger customer’s interest we combine javanese interior style with mid-century aesthetic. We incorporate javanese design elements and philosophy into the design through material and finish choice and patterns.

The restaurant itself is located inside and a part of a hotel. We utilize colorful patterns and material choice to bring youth and playfulness into the overall design to attract younger customers. The complexity of the ornaments and interior gives a sense of ever-moving activity so the restaurant is perceived as more lively.
